Based on [sma94]

According the Law of November 1994, the offcial emblem of the Mexican Secretariat of Navy (Secretaría de Marina) is based on the National Arms, where the nopal, lake and stone were replaced by two crossed silver anchors; while the snake chages to silver also. The whole is surrounded by the text "SECRETARIA DE MARINA ARMADA DE MEXICO" (Secretariat of Navy Armed of Mexico) in gold.

According the article 11 of the Decree issued on Oct. 19, 2000, the emblem shall be...

"...the shield of the Mexico Navy, which keeps the colors of the national coat of arms in the eagle and the garland..."
